Lake Munmorah

is the northern most of the Tuggerah lakes, a series of interconnected Costal Lagoons on the Central Coast in NSW.

During your stay in Lake Munmorah you may want to take a stroll down by the lake (an easy couple of minutes away on foot) and feed the ducks or just lose yourself in the peace and tranquility of the place. Black Swans can often be seen as well as other bird life.

The Frazer Park Conservation area with its series of sheltered beaches and rugged cliffs is accessible from the Pacific Highway 2 minutes drive from the Motel and offers great walks, swimming, diving and fishing.

Jump in the car and its a short ride to the beaches at Budgewoi, where you can Surf, Fish or just take a walk and unwind. It is possible to walk all the way up to the cliffs bordering the National Park if you are feeling particularly energetic. Enjoy a relaxing drink at the Budgewoi Tavern or indulge in a Seafood platter at Saltwater Seafood right on the lake after you are done.

Heading South along Elizabeth Bay Drive is the Historic Norah Head Lighthouse where you can take in the sights and enjoy a meal or coffee on top of the cliffs at the local cafe.

Further South are more beaches and The Entrance, where the lakes meet the ocean. Great Dining and Shopping to had.

A few minutes north is Catherine Hill Bay and its historic mining village. More good surfing and fishing. Follow hwy 111 to Newcastle and Lake Macquarie with the Hunter Valley only 45 minutes away.
